Yellow Brick Cinema, celebrating its tenth anniversary, is one of the most successful wellness/relaxation online music destinations in the world. YBC is the musical equivalent of magic realism: superimposing the inner world of childlike wonder and imagination, both aurally and visually, atop your daily life.
The name “Yellow Brick Cinema” was inspired by the The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. In the story, each brick on the yellow brick road represents a step forward as the characters journey towards finding what they most desire. Yellow Brick Cinema’s purpose, likewise, is to support you on your journey through life, by providing you with uplifting and calming beautiful visuals and music to inspire and empower you to fulfill the life you want for yourself.
Yellow Brick Cinema’s compositions produce a careful blend of binaural beats and state-enhancing frequencies to help you relax, sleep, focus, meditate, and heal. Started in 2013 by Margie Clarke and Roche Klue, today YBC boasts an amazing team:
· MEGAN EWERS
Megan is a veteran content creator of Yellow Brick Cinema since 2015. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Megan is responsible for most of the content creation on Yellow Brick Cinema over the past eight years. A true visionary within the medium of audiovisual presentation of wellness music, Megan strives through her creative work to provide the most relaxing experiences for everyone to enjoy on Yellow Brick Cinema. Megan enjoys experimenting with depth and intricacy, bringing uniqueness to her ever-changing style of content. She believes that everyone is worthy of peace, and that it is her duty to provide viewers with the ultimate healing and relaxation experience through her art.
· CLAIRE WRIGHT
A veteran of Yellow Brick Cinema since 2019, Claire is the Operations Manager for YBC and jumps at any chance to squeeze out the creative juice. She views the world in thumbnails and is always looking for the most beautiful imagery to accompany YBC’s peaceful music. Based in sunny South Africa, she loves being in nature and enjoys trying to replicate that experience for YBC’s loyal listener base. A former teacher and nature guide, she believes that being immersed in nature is vital to one’s wellness. Add in relaxing music, and Claire is in her happy place.
· CHAD WRIGHT
Chad is the Community Manager for Yellow Brick Cinema. Based in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, Chad particularly enjoys the YBC study videos, and believes that family, exercise and relaxing outdoors are important to a wellness-based lifestyle. As former wildlife photography guide with a background in music production and sound design, Chad enjoys expressing himself in any form of digital creativity. Chad has served with the YBC team since 2019.
· JASON SORENSEN
Jason is a London-based digital marketing manager, filmmaker, and content creator for Yellow Brick Cinema. A former Sony software producer for clients such as Red Bull TV, the NHL, the NBA, MLB, and Twitch, Jason is the producer/director of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: The Impossible Tour, currently airing on public TV and DVD in the USA. With a keen interest in how AI visuals can be applied to human wellness via the arts, Jason’s YBC videos are always highly experimental.
· EVAN JASEK
Evan is a content creator and operational support for Yellow Brick Cinema. Currently based in Thailand, Evan is the Chief Technology Officer for AirOne Technology and the President of 312 Sites. A design and innovation strategist, Evan’s goal with his YBC videos is to combine amazing music with a uniquely stylized composite blend of visuals and animations.
· PAIGE CALIFANO
An accomplished musician, Paige is the ethereally beautiful face of Yellow Brick Cinema. Originally from New Jersey and educated at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, Paige is now a professional musical artist based in Los Angeles. To quote American Songwriter, “Imagine if Brian Wilson and Joni Mitchell wrote and recorded together. The resulting music might sound a lot like Paige.”
